Tort of Domestic Violence

Over the years I have worked on many domestic violence cases and unfortunately most victims of domestic abuse are abused by someone who cannot fully compensate them for their injuries.  

But in some instances where the perpetrator of the domestic abuse has sufficient assets to pay for the damages caused by the years of domestic violence, including permanent injuries, an action for the tort of domestic violence, battery and assault can be filed in civil court.
